A Great Time Was Had by All

Aunt Dorothea made the entry “A great time was had by all” in “The Book” after nearly every family reunion. 2025 was not an exception. Attendance was robust and food was amazing. Everyone stepped up to bring the German heritage food which included some beef tongue and head cheese (courtesy of Raymond Dobler who provided cooking lessons to Velda and Tiger), sauerkraut and sausages along with family favorites like Jello salad and chicken enchilada casserole, and even a surprise birthday cake for Velda and Sheri. We enjoyed the famous Sunday School Juice Drink with lemon, lime and orange juice — that was definitely a big group project. Updates included some health challenges and a fascinating visit to Germany. We are assured Stahlecker is Still a Good Name and Good People. Like we didn’t know that….

Attendance

We always have a sign in sheet showing who attended and their parents to help track families. This is who we had for 2025. More than 25 people from 5 states attended the reunion at Hope Congregational Church north of Bethune on June 28. Photos are posted in the Gallery.
